It's not the tools, it's the carpenter. There are plenty of cheaper options as well. Cheap meaning 'free'. If you just Google 'Free Mixing plugins' you will come up with lists and lists of plugins which you can just download for free.

So you have no excuse, and you can never ever justify using cracked plugins. As mentioned previously, look out for sales, you can get very good sales during summer/Black Friday/Christmas sales. And if you are a student there are some companies that offer student discounts.

And there's this thing called the KVR Marketplace which is a forum where you can buy 'used' plugins. Grab iZotope's Alloy 2 which I've seen go for as little as $50 at the KVR Marketplace.
